About Me
My love affair with photography started with a Hasselblad camera, a pure blend of glass, mirrors, and gears that was the inspiration for Instagram before filters and social media existed.
This fascination led me to NYC's photo production world, eventually as a published commercial photographer, operating under the alias GIRLRAY. My focus primarily revolved around crafting exclusive portraits of entertainment and media personalities for magazines like Fortune, People, Entertainment Weekly, and Guitar World.
Despite my avoidance of ad agencies, I couldn't ignore the potential of their persuasive techniques for the greater good. Influenced by artists like Barbara Kruger and the activist group Gran Fury, who used advertising language for subversive street art I found my passion and got fired up to do the same.
These days, you'll often find me taking portraits of humans or capturing events that come my way, between running laps in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
